The tourism industry often faces various problems, both medical and non-medical, that can hinder its growth and negatively impact the host community. To tackle these challenges and promote healthier tourism, a community service was conducted in the Senteluk village of West Lombok to identify medical issues, specifically focusing on diarrhea. The goal of this activity was to intervene and address the factors contributing to this medical problem in the Senteluk Village tourist area. To prioritize the issue, a Delbecq diagnosis method was used along with data collection through informed consent and questionnaires in August 2023. An intervention was then implemented, which included various approaches, such as promotive, preventive, and rehabilitative measures, targeting 177 residents. Promotive activities involved community outreach on waste disposal and cleaning, while preventive measures included the implementation of the BASNO (Zero Open Defecation) Program, teaching residents how to make oral rehydration solutions (ORS), and increasing awareness about the first treatment of diarrhea. Additionally, rehabilitative efforts include providing supplementary feeding in the form of eggs, milk, and vitamins to prevent the recurrence of diarrhea. The intervention also integrated community empowerment strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability of the implemented service activities through engagement with local stakeholders and officers to continue educating residents on good sanitation practices and early disease detection.
